La Semplice at SIMEI 2026: tradition meets innovation in automated tank cleaning
Join us in Milan from 17 to 20 November 2026 at SIMEI 2026, Hall 1 – Stand T11 to discover La Semplice Gamba, an automated tank cleaning system designed for wineries and food-processing applications.
Automated winery tank cleaning: efficiency with less water
Cleaning wine tanks, fermentation vessels and stainless-steel storage tanks involves removing lees, processing residues and tartrate deposits. La Semplice uses a lance inserted from the side of the tank and a single targeted jet, driven by coordinated rotation and oscillation. Automated cleaning programs direct mechanical action across internal surfaces.
The system is designed to reduce water consumption, with savings of approximately 50% achievable in suitable applications compared with traditional methods. Actual savings depend on tank geometry, soil conditions and cleaning cycles. It can also help reduce detergent use and wastewater volumes.
No Man Entry: operators stay outside
The automated cleaning cycle is performed with the operator outside the tank, reducing the need to enter confined spaces during cleaning. Any entry for inspection or maintenance remains subject to applicable safety procedures.
Award-winning technology
La Semplice received a technological innovation award at SIMEI 2024, associated with the Lucio Mastroberardino Prize, recognising Gamba’s approach to tank cleaning technology.
